Job and Leadership Training for Women - Program Manager

Under the leadership of the Director of Beyond Jobs and the Beyond Jobs Operation Manager, the Program Manager will execute and grow the Job & Leadership Training program for women. The mission is to empower women who come from under-resourced communities to become leaders in their families, jobs and communities. The program will consist of two week sessions with a year of monthly follow-ups.

The Program Manager position requires someone who:

  • Excels at casting vision and leading a team of people toward a set of clearly outlined goals.

  • Capable of working a percentage of their time outside of the office building new relationships with potential businesses and students.

  • Is adept at motivating and encouraging the Beyond Jobs for Women team to achieve new heights and successes not accomplished before.

  • Knows how to manage a team by supporting and stepping in when needed and empowering them to manage the day-to-day details of how the vision is carried out.

  • Is not afraid to take risks, but also not afraid to ask for help when needed.

  • Is passionate about serving the inner city population and is able to take information and communicate it in a contextual way.

  • Is able to manage conflict in a direct yet caring way.

Job & Leadership Training:

  • Serve as the face and main vision-caster for the program internally as well as externally to donors, volunteers and other agencies

  • Maintain a Godly image and serve as an example to the students, volunteers and staff associated with the program.

  • Manage and lead the JLT team on a daily/weekly basis, including ensuring annual goals are set and met and that each member is utilized to the best of their abilities.

  • Working in tandem with your team, lead the student recruiting process across all sites.

  • Grow the current network of student providers beyond local Parole Offices, Social Service agencies, Churches, etc.

  • Work with the Beyond Jobs Director and Operations Manager to ensure efficiency of the program as a whole, and that volunteers and businesses are communicated with on a regular basis and feel loved and appreciated by the organization.

  • Establish relationships with multiple businesses in the area to serve as staffing options for both internships and full-time employment.

The above list is not exhaustive; there will be times where you will be asked to help participate and potentially lead out other projects on an ad hoc basis. This can include areas outside of your immediate area of responsibility.

Ideal candidate will have: Experience working individuals from all walks of life. Case management and/or job development skills are preferred.
