Morning Reading

morning reading

The morning reading program exists to reinforce the language arts lessons that elementary-aged students already learn in the classroom. Our curriculum helps improve literacy skills by giving students an opportunity to practice their reading, vocabulary, and comprehension skills on a weekly basis throughout the school year. Volunteers for this program work with students in an individual or small group setting and read stories, answer comprehensions questions, and spell vocabulary words. In this program, volunteers are asked to commit to serving at least once a week.
