One of our concentrations is to aid in eqipping churches and organizations with the resources they need to serve the city of St. Louis. The first way we do this is by providing a forum (Mercy Quarterly) for discussion, encouragement, and collaboration. The second way we do this is by addressing city needs very practically through our Community Loop program. St. Louis has an aging housing market (many of the buildings are made of brick and so need a great deal of maintenance in their later years). Because of the amount of repairs needed in some homes, residents have a difficult time keeping things up to code and so are being forced out of their homes and neighborhoods. Our Community Loop program goes into these people's houses to fix problems and help provide hope for the residents to stay in their homes.
