Meet Gail- A story of hope through Beyond Jobs

Meet Gail. Gail graduated from our second Beyond Jobs cohort of 2025. Gail had been struggling with a lack of employment, unresolved legal issues and unpaid rent and decided to enroll in Beyond Jobs, our job readiness program, to build a new future for herself. 

After enrolling, her coaches and mentors noticed that she stood out from the beginning, being the first from her cohort to complete her intake paperwork. She went above and beyond and even came in before the official first day. For Tiffany, our Beyond Jobs coordinator, Gail’s initiative spoke volumes about her character and commitment. In class, she was always engaged and willing to learn. 

“Working with her has been a rewarding experience, and she has shown determination, resilience, and leadership throughout her journey,” Tiffany said. 

Through Beyond Jobs, Gail was provided with resume assistance, job placement support and was connected to Prosperity Connections, an organization that helped provide financial advising and rental assistance. Since graduating from the program, Gail has stayed connected with the team, continuing to work with them to secure long-term stability.  

Today, Gail is hopeful about landing a stable job that helps her reach her goals. She’s planning her wedding, dreaming about a home of her own, and saving up for a car for independence and improvement in the quality of life. 

For Gail, the Beyond Jobs team has been a source of support. 

“Anytime I call them or need anything, they're there,” Gail said.
