Joy earned her MSW with a Management Specialization from Washington University in St. Louis in order that she could ensure nonprofits run as effectively and efficiently as possible. Her B.S. in Psychology from Furman University helps her understand human behavior, which is helpful both organizationally and in developing programs. She is originally from the Atlanta and loves spending time at the lake, college football and family. She and her husband Jeff have 2 kids, Cole and Haley.
Cassie has her Associates degree in accounting from Hickey School, a B.S. in business administration and M.S. in accounting from Fontbonne University. She is a perservant runner who has become co-ambassador of Black Girls Run! St. Louis. She is dedicated (or crazy enough) to have completed a 10k on a cane.
Dovile has a Business Administration Degree in Finance from Westminster College and is currently pursuing an MBA in Accounting from Columbia College. Originally Dovile is from Lithuania and loves to travel, explore new cultures and trying new foods. She is very excited to move to St. Louis where she has many friends and is looking forward to spending time with them.
Merellyn has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with an emphasis on HR Management. Merellyn is a returning M:STL employee who is excited about being back home. She looks forward to continuing to encourage people to strive to be the best they can be, no matter the challenge.
Jerry is a proud graduate of the Winter 2018 JLT class. After interning here at M:STL, he was hired shortly thereafter. He hopes to pursue an education in electrical engineering. He looks forward to "paying it forward" by helping others change their lives as this organization has done for him.
Emily received her Bachelor of Science in Textiles and Apparel Management from the University of Missouri - Columbia. She used to own a local retail business but longed to use her skills and platform as an entrepreneur to serve others in need around St. Louis. Emily enjoys yoga, walking her dog, traveling and coffee.
Evelio is a native of St. Louis. Since he was 12, he's always heard the mantra, 'Men for Others'. He feels as if Mission St. Louis gives him the opportunity to fully embrace that, and is excited to hopefully be an agent of change, and be a positive influence on the city. He is an avid sports fan, and an aficionado of film and tv.
Ira Taylor is a graduate from the Job and Leadership Training Program with Mission: St. Louis where he enjoyed his position working in carpentry. He went to Everest College to become a Dental Assistant and enjoys playing video games with his son on the weekends.

Rebekah is a native St. Louisian with a Bachelors Degree in Communication Arts from Hannibal LaGrange University. She enjoys traveling and the outdoors, but knows there is nothing better than cuddling with her fur-baby, Suki, while binge watching Netflix and eating take out Chinese food.
Peter graduated from Drury University with a Bachelor of Science, English and his TESOL/ ESL/ TEFL Certification. Peter recently taught ESL in Costa Rica and has returned to the United States to further his career in education while being closer to his friends and family. He is excited to serve and teach in St. Louis which, he will always consider home.
Kekua graduated from Missouri Baptist University here in St. Louis, MO. She majored in Mathematics and Christian Ministry with an emphasis in Secondary Education and hopes to engage in the urban school districts. Her favorite things include hanging out with friends, swinging in her hammock, playing card games, and having big adventures.
Jaylynn is currently transferring to Central Christian College of the Bible and is studying Cross Cultural Ministry. She enjoys every outdoor activity including swimming and biking. She also enjoys dancing and hanging out with her friends and family.
Deja graduated from Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL in 2017. She majored in Political Science and minored in History. She completed her first year of service in Birmingham, AL and is excited to participate in a second service year with Mission: St. Louis. Deja’s favorite thing to do in St. Louis is trying new foods at different international restaurants.
Wafa is currently getting her degree from Webster University in International Relations. She will be graduating in May, 2020 and hopes to pursue a career in politics and create her own NGO. She is excited to be working with Mission: St. Louis over this next year.
Emily graduated high school early and attended Southern Connecticut State University for a semester and joined AmeriCorps to gain more experience in the teaching field. She has her motorcycle license, has been skydiving and is excited to find the best St. Louis farmers markets and discover parks around the city.
Lucas graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.S. in Atmospheric Science. He hopes be an adventure photographer and provide creative content for nonprofits. He was a collegiate pitcher, enjoys ALL outdoor activities and spends his weekends photographing triathlons, mud-runs and marathons all over the country.
Nikki graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor’s in Communication and English. She loves mornings with coffee, being a part of the Journey Tower Grove, listening to good stories, and is passionate about the cheese puffs at Russell’s on Macklind.
Jasmine has a Bachelor of Urban Planning and Development from Ball State University. She has TWO sets of twin sisters and wants to pursue a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning or Planning Law (policy) or both because she’s Superwoman! Her hopes are to gather experience and knowledge over the next year that guide her further in her professional mission. She is also a Mountain Dew connoisseur.
Danielle graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor’s in History and Psychology and a Master’s in Political Science. After 8 years of teaching high school social studies, Danielle is eager to learn about and be a part of Mission: St. Louis. You can find Danielle partaking in the different cultural and community events around St. Louis or anywhere outside-from a patio to hiking a trail.
Todd came to St. Louis 20 years ago from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Upon arriving in the Lou, he entered the skills trade as a carpenter apprentice building custom homes for over 10 years. After graduating which he started his own general contracting business specializing in home remodeling and repair. In his spare time, Todd enjoys spending time with his family, watching a ball game, and coaching his son’s baseball and soccer teams.
Jacob has a degree in Criminal Justice Administration and Law Enforcement from Missouri Southern State University. He has lived in South Korea for over a year, used to be a zip-line guide and has climbed the highest peak in Rocky Mountain National Park.
