Director of Beyond School Erin is a Certified Reading Specialist with a Master's Degree in reading. She and her husband, Michael, have two kids, Yuri and Kye. She enjoys running, kettlebell and bowling.
Beyond School Manager Gabrielle has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Washington University in St. Louis. She enjoys road trips, wandering through art museums, reading, public transit and spending time with her sisters.
Beyond School Coordinator - LPA Rebekah is a native St. Louisian with a Bachelors Degree in Communication Arts from Hannibal LaGrange University. She enjoys traveling and the outdoors, but knows there is nothing better than cuddling with her fur-baby, Suki, while binge watching Netflix and eating take out Chinese food.
Peter graduated from Drury University with a Bachelor of Science, English and his TESOL/ ESL/ TEFL Certification. Peter recently taught ESL in Costa Rica and has returned to the United States to further his career in education while being closer to his friends and family. He is excited to serve and teach in St. Louis which, he will always consider home.
Kekua graduated from Missouri Baptist University here in St. Louis, MO. She majored in Mathematics and Christian Ministry with an emphasis in Secondary Education and hopes to engage in the urban school districts. Her favorite things include hanging out with friends, swinging in her hammock, playing card games, and having big adventures.
Jaylynn is currently transferring to Central Christian College of the Bible and is studying Cross Cultural Ministry. She enjoys every outdoor activity including swimming and biking. She also enjoys dancing and hanging out with her friends and family.
Deja graduated from Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL in 2017. She majored in Political Science and minored in History. She completed her first year of service in Birmingham, AL and is excited to participate in a second service year with Mission: St. Louis. Deja’s favorite thing to do in St. Louis is trying new foods at different international restaurants.
Wafa is currently getting her degree from Webster University in International Relations. She will be graduating in May, 2020 and hopes to pursue a career in politics and create her own NGO. She is excited to be working with Mission: St. Louis over this next year.
Emily graduated high school early and attended Southern Connecticut State University for a semester and joined AmeriCorps to gain more experience in the teaching field. She has her motorcycle license, has been skydiving and is excited to find the best St. Louis farmers markets and discover parks around the city.
