Healthy Home Repair Program

Mission: St. Louis seek responses to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from contractors interested in participating in the Healthy Home Repair Program (HHRP). 

ABOUT US

The Healthy Home Repair Program is a nonprofit-public partnership between Mission: St. Louis and the City of St. Louis—Building Division and the Community Development Administration (CDA).  The program assists low to moderate income homeowners who own and occupy their home in the City of St. Louis.  Designed to help homeowners stay in their homes, the program preserves the vitality of the dwellings by making code, health, and other safety repairs. CONTRACTORS NEEDED

If you are a contractor, we are looking for the following qualified contractors to apply:

  • Roofers

  • Electricians

  • Plumbers

  • Heating and Cooling

  • Lead remediation and abatement contractors licensed in the State of Missouri for carpentry installations of new windows, doors, and porches

  • Radon mitigation

Contractors will go through a simple bidding process with ample opportunity to work with the Healthy Home Repair program.  The program is funded annually, and prompt payments will be made to all contractors. Mission: St. Louis does not provide homeowner client intake for the HHRP.  Please call the Healthy Home Repair Program Hotline number at (314) 657-3888 to find out if you are eligible for home repair assistance, there are some requirements + restrictions which will be explained during the intake process. The Healthy Home Repair Program is for homeowners who live in the City of St. Louis; have owned and lived in their home for at least two (2) years; have clear title; are current on their real estate taxes; are current on their mortgage payments and have homeowner's insurance.  Because federal dollars are used to fund the program, eligibility is limited to low to moderate income households (less than 80% of Area Median Income).

 

THE HEALTHY HOME REPAIR PROGRAM IS FINANCED WHOLLY THROUGH AN ALLOCATION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS’ COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION.
