  • Emergency housing for children aged 0-12 whose parents or guardians are dealing with health crisis, unsafe housing or homelessness, domestic violence, community violence, lack of utilities, legal crisis, or overwhelming parental stress

  • Services are short term, typically 1-3 days, and completely voluntary - several locations in the St. Louis area

  • 24-hour trauma-informed crisis helpline with crisis intervention and resource referral

  • Family Empowerment program including family stabilization case management, counseling, parent support, and parent education groups

  • Helping Hand Me Downs (314) 919-6999

    • Referral required for services

    • Program provides essential items such as clothing, furniture, toys, and toiletries for newborns and infants based on availability

    • Long term assistance can include transitional housing, employment opportunities, childcare, and transportation

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters

    • Program provides one-on-one mentorship to school-aged youth

    • Amachi program is especially for kids with incarcerated parents to provide extra supports, the regular program is for all kids

  • St. Louis Diaper Bank (314) 624-0888

    • Free emergency diaper distribution and referrals to distribution sites where diapers can be picked up regularly

    • Virtual and in-person personalized parent support and training to help parents support and engage with their child’s development and learning

    • Free community-based parenting education classes

    • Responsible parenting training and support including a 6-week Family Formation course and father support small group sessions

    • Center also has resources and a course to help mothers and fathers co-parent successfully
